I also decided that I wanted to do a large-scale (203.2 cm x 304.8 cm / 80" x 120") acrylic painting of a macro view of the ice - to take a small view, and blow it up.
I had laid face-down on the ice, to really see the colour and feel the grains of ice, and to feel its hot-cold temperature.
